The Spectacular Great Lakes of East Africa

Lakes of East Africa

Africa is arguably the capital of the most amazing nature, wildlife, lakes and rivers plus culture in the world, you need to see it to believe it, with its heartbeat literary in East Africa you get to enjoy great trips to savannah national parks, primate tours and safaris, the great migration, luxury holidays, gorilla trekking in Rwanda and /or Uganda, great beaches for you to relax courtesy of the great lakes among other activities.

East Africa enjoys an existence of some of the great lakes in Africa and my personal favorites are Lake Victoria and Lake Kivu. Lake Kivu is one of the African Great Lakes. This amazing lake lies on the border between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, and is in the Albertine Rift, the western branch of the East African Rift. Lake Kivu also empties into the Ruzizi River, which flows southwards into Lake Tanganyika. The lake is known for its great beaches in Rubavu- Rwanda, spectacular islands that have also boosted tourism in the area. The lake is also a proud home of some of the most amazing accommodations in Rwanda with great breathtaking scenic views. Get to enjoy fishing activities as you interact with the local fishing communities, of cause that goes without saying Lake Victoria; another great lake is the fishing capital of East Africa, the lake is known for fish such as Nile perch, Tilapia among other species.

Lake Victoria is one of the African Great Lakes. With a surface area of approximately 59,947 km², Lake Victoria is Africa's largest lake by area, the world's largest tropical lake, and the world's second-largest fresh water lake by surface area after Lake Superior in North America.

Get to enjoy fishing activities, boat rides to amazing islands, great scenic views, swimming, relaxing sun rises and sun sets.

Your next destination needs to be East Africa!
